Autism Call to Action! MASKS OFF!!

Image
Life is short and its Time to take the  MASKS OFF & MOVE INTO ACTION Autism Educator: We educate to change your mind about Autism, so YOU can change your actions towards the Autism Community. I’m devastated and inspired by the loss of Kobe Bryant over the weekend. Kobe Bryant was the change he wanted to see in the NBA and in the world! He was not only the best at his craft, but pursued his passions apologetically. He identified & serve his purpose while his work ethic allowed him to be there greatest at everything he touched. He could have sat home after retirement but continued to share his gifts with his family and with the world. He made a difference. You are what you say you are, and Autism parents & caregivers are not alone. I’m not satisfied with a lot of things I see in the community/world related to our Special Needs Community – specifically Autism. Hugo's Little Heroes | Sydney Alston - 11/13/19 In honor of World Prematurity Day - November 17 & the support provided by my College team, I’d like to share an update on Sydney. I refer to Jamie Conrad as my colleague and mentor in the article, but her guidance has been priceless to our family. We were introduced to Bee Mighty through Jamie and for that I will be forever thankful! Sydney was born at 27-weeks & 2.0 lbs. Sydney has been granted the privilege as being selected by the non-profit organization Bee Mighty as the Mighty Bee for November 2019. The Bee Mighty organization partners with Novant Health and Sprite to collaborate with the NBA Charlotte Hornets. This collaboration allowed Sydney to be Hugo’s Little Hero which allowed her exclusive behind the scenes and on the court privileges during the Hornets vs. Grizzlies game on 11/13/19. ·           I I have included links below to: o    T...

It was hard to prepare being a mommy when losing your mother figure. Sydney is named after my grandmother.   My family and I were excited but it was something that I wanted to share with the woman whom raised me. The news of Sydney continued the cycle of life in our family!   I teach college full-time, it was Fall 2010 and I was finishing up the semester and preparing my schedule to be out of work Spring 2011. My pregnancy was rather uneventful until that time. Being over 30 I had an increased number of doctors appointments and evaluations, but everything was normal. Saturday, December 11 th I had attended my 1 st baby shower on in Atlanta, Ga. Sunday, December 12 th Returned from Georgia with all ...
